Saint Shree Dnyaneshwar and Saint Shree Tukaram Endowment Lecture Series

Intellectual, spiritual and physical strength of Indians will make India Vishwaguru: Bhagatsingh Koshyari at MITWPU

“India can become ‘Vishwaguru’ if we make our country strong. This can be achieved through intellectual, spiritual and physical strength of each one of us. Merely indulging in erudite sermons will not help,” said Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari here today.

He was addressing the valedictory function as the Chief Guest of the 26th Saint Shri Dnyaneshwara & Saint Shri Tukaram Endowment Lecture Series and Orientation Workshop 2021 at the Dnyaneshwar Hall on the premises of the MIT World Peace Universtity, Kothrud, Pune.

The annual seven-day lecture series is being organised for the past 26 years jointly by the MIT World Peace University, Pune, the Saint Shree Dnyaneshwar and Saint Shree Tukaram Endowment Lecture Series Trust, Pune and the World Peace Centre, Alandi, MAEER’s MIT, Pune.

He told the boy to become physically strong and then learn the teachings of Bhagvad Geeta.” Quoting Vivekanand, Koshyari said, “Strength is life and weakness is death.”

Highlighting the BJP government’s steps to make India a strong nation, Sunil Deodhar praised the new national education policy. He said, “Lord Macaulay ruined the traditional Indian education system by destroying our cultural values. Now, the government has decided to impart primary education through the mother tongue only.” He emphasized the role of education in building honest leaders and citizens.

He praised Koshyari’s efforts and blessing during the consecration of Goddess Saraswati Mandir built by MIT at Mana near Badrinath in Uttarakhand.
